This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser storage) that Ourly uses, and why. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
Ourly does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, social media pixels, or similar tools. Every cookie and browser storage item we use is strictly necessary to provide the service you've asked for — such as keeping you signed in or letting you complete a booking or payment.
Because everything we use is strictly necessary, UK law does not require us to ask for your consent before using them. We're still telling you about them here for transparency.
We use cookies (set via Supabase, our authentication provider) to keep you signed in and to recognise your account as you move around the site. Without these, you'd be logged out on every page.
On payment pages, Stripe (our payment processor) sets cookies to process your payment securely and to detect and prevent fraud. These only load when you're actively making a payment.
We set one small cookie to remember that you've seen this notice, so we don't show it to you again.
When you're partway through booking a meeting or creating a payment request, we temporarily save your progress in your browser (using a feature called "session storage") so you don't lose your place if you navigate back. This is cleared automatically when you close your browser tab, isn't shared with anyone, and is only ever used for the booking or offer flow you're actively completing.
The only third party that sets cookies on Ourly is Stripe, and only on payment pages. You can read more about how Stripe handles data in Stripe's own privacy policy. A full list of the services we work with is in our Privacy Notice.
Because we don't use any optional or tracking cookies, there's nothing to opt out of on Ourly itself. You can still control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings — though doing so for the sign-in cookie will log you out, and blocking Stripe's cookies may prevent payments from completing.
